In this warm, sometimes heartbreaking tale, an extraordinary confluence of events leads three people from different worlds to the doorstep of a journey none of them could have foreseen.
About Me
TR Fischer
Author, buffalo rancher, adrenaline junkie, late bloomer
I grew up in Boulder, Colorado. As the ninth of ten girls born to a nurse and a firefighter, day to day life was brimming with estrogen-laced commotion, thrilling firefighting stories and hospital tales.
An avowed tomboy, I wanted nothing to do with the drama some of my sisters cooked up. My main interest was real-life adventure. When I wasn’t in school, I was busy exploring every street and back alley in what I viewed as the tiny kingdom of Boulder. My insatiable curiosity and penchant for adventure took me all over town on my bike and occasionally on the double decker buses that frequented Pearl Street not far from my home.
Now that my children are out of the house, I’m chasing a new dream. I juggle writing with hosting buffalo-related events with my talented husband, Neil. We built a rustic event venue on our property just outside of Pawhuska, Oklahoma. Every day is an adventure, on and off the page!

I loved the setting, the way the characters meshed and developed as the story went along. This book is well written and I found it hard to put down. I recommend this book 100%!

A Man Around The House
A mountain of problems and painful memories have Tara Jones in their grip. The moment she graduates, she plans to escape her small town and make a fresh start. On the way to her nursing final, Tara watches in horror as a car crashes in front of her. The driver is the same man who bribed her for a haircut a few days before. The one she can’t stop thinking about.
Bo Michaels is not looking for female entanglements. He’s too busy chasing a real estate deal he believes will catapult his career. After totaling his car, Bo wakes up in the hospital with a metal contraption holding his leg together. No walking, no weight bearing, no nothing—for six weeks. Estranged from his family and having no close friends, Bo turns to Tara for help.
Tara reluctantly agrees to care for Bo in her home. The money she’ll make might enable her to pay off a debt to a frightening man who won’t leave her alone. Neither the nurse nor her patient anticipate the lightning that strikes their hearts. Just as a fragile bond develops between them, the town and shadows from the past threaten to destroy it.
A heart warming, sweet romance, clean enough for teens filled with suspense that keeps you wondering just what is around the next corner. A rare find.

Prey For Me
Lacy Carter is not who she pretends to be. After six months of hiding from her stalker, a chance meeting with firefighter, Trey Long, sparks hope for a normal life—until she finds a pink rose inside her locked car.
Trey can’t forget the beautiful woman who captured his attention and then disappeared. When Lacy becomes a suspect in several cases of arson, Trey dives headlong into a conflict of interest that risks both his job and his heart.
Lacy and Trey must decide who they can trust and whether they’re willing to get burned in the process.
This is a fast-paced story that demands you hold on for the ride. You are dragged in from the very first sentence. You quickly grow attached to the main character and cringe every time she is in danger. It has just the right elements of a budding romance without overpowering the plot line. Can't wait for the next book from this author!

The characters and story line pulled me in and I found it hard to stop reading. The author wrote some really action-packed scenes which had me by the throat. The evocative language and her careful use of scenes on very emotional topics kept the tone and pace working well, and kept the story line feeling authentic, while avoiding gratuitous images of those topics. Great read!
